Artwork

The CIC has several original pieces of artwork, a Madonna and Child sculpture and four stained glass windows.

The beautiful Madonna and Child sculpture was created in 1987 for the Catholic Information Center’s Chapel of St. Paul at its former location on Ionia Avenue, NW, in downtown Grand Rapids. The artist, David Wanner, of Wanner Studios in Wisconsin, cast, molded and framed this piece. The Madonna and Child sculpture now graces the lobby of the new Catholic Information Center.

The beautiful stained glass windows were removed from the Catholic Information Center’s Chapel of St. Paul when the Chapel closed in 2008.  The stained glass pieces were created by Mark Talaba, of Talaba Studios in Pennsylvania.  The theme of the windows that graced the former chapel was “the flow of continual peace.”  We are pleased that these lovely stained glass pieces were remounted in various rooms of the new Catholic Information Center.
