“Our minds are like crows. They pick up everything that glitters, no matter how uncomfortable our nests get with all that metal in them.” –Thomas Merton
For many, the slower pace and quieter existence discovered during the pandemic was an unexpected gift. For some, the pandemic brought endless demands to meet needs in new ways. Emerging from the pandemic experience and back into mainstream living can be challenging. We invite you to join us for an evening of exploration as we journey to the quiet. Together we will explore ways to be intentional about nurturing our inner peace through mindfulness and the practice of contemplation.
Mary Wcisel is a practicing spiritual director, currently working as a process graphic designer at CommunityWorks, Inc. There she creates images and materials for contemplative planning and discernment processes for national and international religious communities. She has also served in parish ministry as a director of pastoral care and as a coordinator for youth ministry. Throughout her ministries and busy family life, she has come to realize the essential need for practicing mindfulness and returning to the place of inner peace.
