Meeting My Neighbor

November 11, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Monday, November 11, 6:30-8:30pm

With Yolanda Ramirez

The topic of immigration has become one of the most complicated topics of our times.   Join us as we explore what it means to be an immigrant in today’s world. Learn how immigrants have been woven into the social fabric of our nation and how to meet our neighbors with compassion. This presentation will be bilingual, beginning with a short documentary in Spanish with English subtitles.  CFD: Evangelization

Yolanda Ramirez, a student pursuing a degree in Social Work and Psychology, will give us a look into the current immigration laws and their effects on immigrant communities. She is a bilingual activist who works on creating bridges of dialogue between communities.  Yolanda is an active member of our community and has grown up living in two different cultures.  She brings knowledge and understanding to such a complex issue.
