These retreats and skill building workshops offer new and experienced Catechists the opportunity to grow spiritually, develop knowledge of Catholic faith and practice, earn certification credits, and gain a better understanding of the nature and goals of catechesis. Learn more about:

Program Information:
Dates: A three-part series offered on Saturdays: January 11, February 29 & May 30, 2020, 8:30am-3pm
Cost: Entire three-part series: $120.00 Per-day cost: $40.00
Includes: Lunch and all materials are included in cost.

Catechist Certification Information
New and experienced Catechists who are NOT certified:
- Attending one day: Achieve Basic Level 1 certification
- Attending two days: Achieve Basic Level 2 certification
- Attending three days: Achieve Basic Level 3 certification
Certified Catechists receive these CFDs per-day attended:
- 2 hours to Theology
- 2 hours to Methods
- 1 hour to Spirituality

- What is the difference between service and witness?
- Becoming a reflective teacher.
- Intersection of life and faith.

- Planning service/witness activities.
- Group will plan a service/witness activity.
- Classroom management/facilitator skills.
- Using provided scenarios, groups will discuss how to respond to challenging situations in classrooms & groups.
