Cathedral Square Center is part of an 11.5-acre campus called Cathedral Square which encompasses a three-block area of downtown Grand Rapids and is anchored by the Cathedral of Saint Andrew, the Mother Church of the diocese. Cathedral Square is highlighted by the Wege Gardens, a landscaped area on the east-facing side of Cathedral Square Center; the Piazza Secchia, an Italian-style piazza located between the cathedral and St. Andrew School, and Keeler Plaza, a welcoming space on the west-facing side of Cathedral Square Center. Cathedral Square including the center, were officially blessed, dedicated and opened on September 23, 2008.
